Benny Pablo Yerro

January 12, 1956 ~ September 28, 2017 (age 61) 61 Years Old
Benny P. Yerro (Jr.) aka “Big Ben” was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, godfather, father-in-law, grandfather, coworker and friend. Born on January 12, 1956 in Oakland, California to parents Jessie L. Brown and Bienivinido I. Yerro. He was the baby in the family, with two sisters Caroline and Kathy and two brothers Raymond and Robert. He was raised in Newark, California. He met his wife, Lucy N. Yerro 39 years ago and moved to Tracy, California 36 years ago. Benny & Lucy Yerro have been married for 34 years and have five children, a daughter-in-law, son-in-law and 4 grandchildren, with another grandchild on the way. Their children are Denny P. Yerro and wife Katrina E. Yerro, Trustan J. Yerro, Sr., Brittany N. Y. Stonecypher and Husband Peter N. Stonecypher, Brandon A. Yerro and Sabrina L. Yerro. Their grandchildren are Aubree M. Yerro, Trustan J. Yerro, Jr., Ben A. Yerro and Peter A. Y. Stonecypher.

Benny was a retired Operating Engineer. He lived his life dedicated to working hard to provide for his wife and family in whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed going dirtbiking and boating on the seasonal weekends with his family. He was an extraordinary driver with a Class A, from driving tractors since age 8, to Harleys in his early 20’s, to Camaros, to fuel and water work trucks. Driving trucks became more than work; it became a hobby for him.

He left this world behind the wheel in his beloved water truck on Thursday, September 28, 2017 due to cardiac arrest in Pleasanton, California. He made an impact on everyone he met through his outgoing personality, hard work ethic, friendly nature and caring heart. He was always willing to share a story or two as well as share a beer or two. It saddens the family deeply how quickly and unexpectedly he was taken away from them at the age of 61. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten as his legacy- The Yerro name will live on.
