Ignacio Abrege Bustos

Ignacio Bustos Abrego was born on September 5, 1961 in San Jose, Ca to Atanacio Bustos Serda and Amparo Abrego Montes. The oldest of four siblings, he is survived by his three sisters Maria Dolores Sandoval, Monica Cockcroft and Rosie Jimenez. He grew up in San Jose attended and graduated from Silver Creek High School and studied a couple of years at Evergreen Valley College where he met his wife Maria G. Leyva. They were married on September 4, 1988. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Maria Bustos and his pets whom he loved dearly, Malo, Sombra and Pupies.  Ignacio worked and retired from NUMI, New United Motors Incorporated. He later worked as a driver for the City of Stockton. He enjoyed talking with people, especially older adults as he felt he could learn from their stories.  Ignacio loved the outdoors, traveling and his pets. His favorite sports teams were the Oakland Athletics and Oakland Raiders. His favorite hobbies were collecting knives and firearms.  He loved being outdoors and his favorite time of year was winter especially when it rained with thunder and lightning. He stated this reminded him of God. He enjoyed hunting and living in the wilderness often spending weekends at his property near Patterson. Ignacio leaves behind many loved ones and will be greatly missed.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, is honored to serve the Bustos family. A Prayer Service will be held in our Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 1:30 pm with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. He will be laid to rest at the Tracy Public Cemetery.
