Iva L. Glover passed away on April 3, 2017 in Tracy, CA, she was 63 years old. Iva was born in Turlock, CA to Lauird and Minnie (Williams) on May 10, 1953. She was a resident of Tracy for 18 ½ years.
Iva was the most caring and considerate person because she always put others before herself, especially her daughter and her daughter’s God Mother, whom was her best friend. She enjoyed listening to music by Alan Jackson and created collages of pictures from his concerts with captions. She was lucky enough to send a copy to his fan club for an autograph, which Alan commented, “Nice work Iva.”
In her teems, she was a fan of Elvis and The Monkeys. Elvis gave her a scarf at a Las Vegas show and Davy Jones called her parent’s house once after she wrote her home number on a pillow (that she persuaded her little sister to place on the stage).
Her favorite hobbies included: reading, watching Big Brother, watching 49er games with her dog barking in the background when the plays did not go as planned, and trips to Reno, NV with friends and family. She also had a talent for online shopping and finding not only the best deal but the most unique gifts for family members.
She worked at New York Life Insurance for 32 years.
Iva is survived her loving daughter, Toni Nicole and her son-in-law Brad Strout, of Pleasanton, CA, her nephew Ken Glover of Manteca, CA, niece Sara Amos of Sacramento, CA and her sister by choice, Marcia Rice of Tracy, CA.
She is preceded in death by her brother George “Doug” Glover and sister Patsy Larimer.
Donations in Iva’s name can be made the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
