Jesse’s priority was his love for his family. He loved camping and boating, reunions and family celebrations. Spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was his second greatest joy. His first being his wife, Vicky.

Jesse was considered a “pool shark” by many thanks to his mentor and teacher, Frank Espinoza Jr. who also taught him to love the sport of fishing.

There could never be too much fishing for Jesse, he was always ready to cast his pole! From his first sturgeon to his Alaskan fishing trip, Jesse was enraptured with the adventure of catching the big one!!

A Harley enthusiast who loved the “Bike runs”, Jesse was elated to share his love of riding with his daughters Irene and Tina, son-in-law Ron and great-nephew Michael Johnson.
During his retirement, he participated in a yearly vacation to Algodones, Mexico with family and friends and cousins Ernest and Frances Quinonez. He also began his new career at his office at “Jackson Rancheria.”

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Duran Gomez and David Esparza.
He’s survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 53 years, Victoria Esparza: son Jesse Esparza Jr.; and daughter-in-law Michelle, son John Esparza, daughter Irene (Esparza) Sunseri, and son in law Ron Sunseri, daughter Tina Esparza; loving grandfather of eleven grandchildren with 5 great-grandchildren; beloved brother of David Esparza and Rudy Gomez, brother-in-law to Frank Espinoza Jr., Beverly Espinoza, Bertha Espinoza and Alice Esparza.
