Luciene Martin

SHE DISCOVERED THAT BOREDOM, FEAR AND ANGER ARE THE REASONS LIFE IS SO SHORT, AND WITH THOSE GONE FROM HER THOUGHT; SHE LIVED A LONG FINE LIFE INDEED.

Luciene Martin-Selva entered Heaven’s Gate on August 30, 2017 at 98 years old. She was born on April 1, 1919 in Champaign, Illinois. She graduated business school with a bookkeeping degree. She married Robert Martin in 1939 and they were married 57 years until his death in 1997. They enjoyed many years of RV traveling. They moved from the L.A. area in 1994 to Tracy, CA and resided at Brookdale. Luciene loved socializing, card games, bingo and casino trips. She met Blaine Selva at Brookdale in 2002 and in 2007 they married, she at 87 and he at 91. They had a wonderful life together until his passing in 2012.
Luciene is survived by two daughters, Veronica Foreman of Antioch, CA and Nancy Nash (Doug) of Beaverton, OR, and her Grandchildren Robert Muller (Carrie), Heidi Muller, Louis Tuthill (Pinky), Justin Nash (Christina); Great Grandchildren Emily Muller-Foster and Timothy Nash.

In following Luciene’s wishes there will be no services and she will be laid to rest privately with Robert at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Whittier, CA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice - Vitas Healthcare.
