She attended El Dorado Elementary School and graduated from Stockton High School. She went on to earn a BA from UC Berkeley in 1952. It is here that she met and married her husband of 48 years, Dr. Walter J. Rore. After her husband’s graduation from dental school Margaret and Walter returned to Stockton where they worked tirelessly setting up their dental practice. A lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, she served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the vestry, and belonged to the Daughters of the King. In her later years, Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether listening to them sing, watching them play basketball, building Legos, or just sitting with them, she always had warm hugs and encouraging words ready.
