With amazing courage and a sense of humor Mike fought ALS, one of the most challenging of all illnesses. His witness to his fellow firefighters and to the community has left a major impact. As well, the witness of Gina and the kids speaks of the depth of their character and love. We stand with you and the large group of people who feel a deep loss.

There are no words that I can find to say how sorry I am for your loss. I pray that God‘s strength and comfort be with you all and he’s coming days and your future. I hope Heaven knows what they have. Until we meet again my brother I love you I miss you, Lucia shared a lot of tears, we shared a lot of laughs and we’ve experienced a lot of miracles and I was proud to have known for as long as I did. I have never met such a great man. Love the Gordon family
By the way I found our song Willie Nelson angels flying too close to the ground
