Albert Miles Balingit

Albert Miles Balingit, fondly known to all as Al, passed away in Danville, CA on July 9, 2020 from complications after suffering a stroke. Born on January 27, 1940 in San Francisco, Al grew up and lived the majority of his life in the Bay Area, moving to Tracy in 2004 then returning to the East Bay after the death of his beloved wife Sally in 2010.
Al served in the Air Force and it was during his time in service when he met Sally. They were married on October 7, 1961 in Denver, CO. After living in various cities in the San Francisco Bay Area, they settled in Fremont for 32 years, where they raised Bridgit and Brian. Al worked for AT&T for over 30 years as a technician and systems analyst. He was an amateur photographer, loved to travel, enjoyed Jazz music, attending festivals and concerts, going to the movies, and was an avid football fan – one of the few that supported both the San Francisco Forty Niners and Oakland Raiders. He was well loved by his friends and neighbors in both Fremont and Tracy.
Al was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sally, and his siblings Estrella, Wilfred and Ronald. His survivors include his children Bridgit Pelley and her husband Mike, Brian Balingit and his wife Brenda; grandchildren Megan, Ethan, Evan and Aidan, his sister Linda Laureano, along with a very large, loving and supportive extended family of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, and nephews.
