Albert Dexter

Albert “Al” Dexter passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born July 10, 1949 in Tracy, CA to Albert and Wynona (Cooper) Dexter.
Al attended Mountain House School and Tracy High School, graduating in 1967. He then received an A.A. degree from San Joaquin Delta College. Al married his high school sweetheart Sharon Waller. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July. Al joined the Army Reserve in 1969, serving 6 years. He worked on the family farm for 40+ years, for Tom’s Backhoe, Inc., and 11 years at San Luis Delta Mendota Water Authority, retiring in 2012. Al enjoyed spending time surrounded by his grandchildren and friends; watching football, basketball, baseball and NASCAR.
Al is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Wynona; sisters Mary Dexter-Smith and Jane Suarez. He is survived by his wife Sharon; children Laura (Ryan) Fischer, Albert (Vanessa) Dexter; grandchildren Hanna, Kara, Gunner and Jaxson; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
