Andrew Cole Click, 19, of Tracy, California passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Fontana, CA after losing his father just fourteen months earlier. He was a loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many and was known for giving the best hugs.
He was born in Hayward, California on June 2, 1999 to Lisa and Christian Click and put the sparkle in his parent’s eyes with his bigger than life personality from the start. At five weeks old, he moved with his parents to Tracy where he attended Tom Hawkins Elementary, making treasured friendships that would last throughout high school and beyond. He was a 2017 Graduate of Tracy High School and was attending Delta College with plans to attend Sacramento State in the future.
Growing up, Andrew’s first experience with sports was a tumbling class at the age of two. The years following he tried many different sports including T-ball, Soccer, CYO Basketball, Taekwondo and his favorite, being part of the Tracy High School Football team.
He was part of a large, close-knit extended family & friends with many cousins, and enjoyed annual family picnics and trips to Yosemite, family vacations, going to Disneyland and Cruises where he made it known he had a love of fine dining and trying exotic new foods.
Andrew loved to play poker with his Dad and continued to play in his place in monthly tournaments and finished in first place twice. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, the beach, hanging out with friends, playing dominoes with his Grandpa and playing with his loyal dogs.
Andrew worked at Chipotle for 18 months where he seemed to have a goal of making his co-workers and customers smile. He was proud of the positive reviews the customers left that mentioned his name and made a point of putting a happy face on every burrito. Most recently he worked at Tracy Thai Restaurant where immediately he said he felt like family.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Lisa Click; both his grandfathers, Robert Garcia and Kenneth Click; godparents Joe & Modesta De La Rosa. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts: Bob Garcia; Greg & Meylene Garcia; Develin Click; Robin & Meagan Click; as well as his cousins Gregory, Alicia and Matthew Garcia; Simon and Evelyn Click. He was preceded in death by his father and grandmothers, Anita Garcia and Judith Click. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
A rosary will be held at Fry’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 23 at 6:30pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, August 24 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 Eaton Ave.
