Beatriz P. Rodriguez, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Hy-lond Health Care Center.
Born July 29th, 1932, in Harlingen, Texas she was the eldest daughter of the late Leandro and Gregoria Perales.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Robert Rodriguez and her brothers Lorenzo and Joaquin Perales. She is survived by her brother Alberto Perales, her sisters Maria Cavazos, Refugia Trevino, and Eugenia Perales. Her Children Estella Shulley, Sylvia Mencik, Esmeralda (Esi) Patino, Anna Sartoris, Beatrice (Bea) Cadena, and her son Robert Rodriguez; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Beatriz was a very caring, loving, and selfless woman. Her favorite past-time was cooking for her family and friends. Throughout her life, Beatriz and her husband loved to travel the United States. They were able to travel to 46 states together, and after her husbands passing Beatriz was able to add one more state to their lifelong journey.
No funeral services will be held as it was Beatriz’s wish. Any flowers or donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association on Beatriz’s behalf.
