Betty Jean Skarloken

Betty (Eggeberg) Skarloken entered Heaven’s Gates on January 24, 2021 at the age of 86. Known by “Granny” to many, Betty was a beautiful soul who made those around her better for just having known her.
Betty was a woman of very deep faith. Her absolute love for God and for her Savior, Jesus Christ, knew no limits. Those who knew her heart also experienced her devotion to her faith. We are comforted by knowing that she is at peace and that the Lord has embraced her with His arms. We will all miss you Granny, but we celebrate your entrance into Paradise. You have truly earned your place in His Kingdom.
Betty was born to Julius Eggeberg and Sophia Eggeberg in Philip, South Dakota on December 16, 1934. Betty retired from a successful
35-year career with General Motors. She then decided to work a
number of years as the beloved “lunch lady” at Banta School. In Betty’s early years she enjoyed water skiing with her family and showing her horses. Betty loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family and friends.
Surviving Betty are her son Rolland “Rolly” Skarloken Jr. (Donna) of Tracy; granddaughter Amanda Heuer (James) of Lodi, Rolland “Rolly” Skarloken III (Megan) of Galt, brother Roy Eggeberg (Mariann) of
Omaha, Nebraska; great granddaughters Hannah Heuer and Olivia Skarloken. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband
Rolland “Rolly” Skarloken Sr., and 7 siblings.
Visitation from 9am to 11am, Monday, February 1, 2021 at
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, CA.
The funeral will be at 11am Monday, February 1, 2021 at
Fry Memorial Chapel.
Burial at Tracy Public Cemetery.
Masks required.
