Brandon Hawk Persiani

May 14, 2003 ~ January 27, 2020 (age 16) 16 Years Old

Tribute

Brandon Hawk Persiani left the Earth on January 27th, 2020 in Tracy, CA where he spent all 16 1/2 years of his life. On May 14th, 2003 he was born at Kaiser of Walnut Creek after his mom powered through getting there on a traffic filled Wednesday morning. His mother, Stacey Thorn and father, Shane Persiani, raised Brandon with the help of his sister, Marisa McGovern. Brandon is survived by them along with his grandparents Jan, Jorge, Paul and Marilyn; Aunties Gina, Cherise, and Joyce; Uncle Tim; Cousins Blair, Rebecca, and John; and preceded in death by his Nana Margarita, Grandpa John, and Auntie Kimberly.
From the age of 5 Brandon played baseball, his favorite position being catcher. Later into his pre-teen years, his athletic abilities developed as he played and excelled at football. His family went to every game and cheered him on as he honed in on his skills each year. He loved going to Giants games (and the occasional A’s games his sister dragged him to), concerts where he could be free, and adventures into nature. Brandon most recently attended West High School and Delta Charter where he made benevolent friends and connections with his teachers. Brandon was also in the JROTC program at West High, which intensified his dream in serving for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Brandon was known for his warm, infectious energy and his kind-hearted spirit in always accepting others for who they are. He enjoyed making people laugh, especially when they needed it the most. He will be remembered by his innate ability to put his all into anything that inspired him. We admire the courage he displayed through his battle with mental health, and are eternally grateful for the love that he bestowed upon each and every person he encountered in his life.
