Brock Arthur Soares

March 3, 1993 ~ October 27, 2018 (age 25) 25 Years Old

Tribute

Brock Arthur Soares, 25, was called to be with the Lord on October 27, 2018 suddenly in his sleep. Born to parents Jerry and Sheila (Bell) Soares

Brock grew up in Tracy, CA on The Soares Family Ranch where he loved the open fields and wide open spaces. Growing up Brock’s passion for sports was obvious at a young age. Brock began playing football at age 7 for the Tracy Raiders. He played with the Raiders until he entered high school. While playing with the Raiders he was awarded the scholastic award every season and was also voted as MOST INSPIRATIONAL player by his teammates.
Brock was an active young boy with Tracy Little League starting at the T-Ball age where he played catcher and short stop. While playing through his Little League years he was chosen to the All Star Team every season.
Brock attended grammar school at Art Freiler and went on to Tracy High School through the Ag-Science Academy. While at Tracy High he was a member of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) where he raised swine and steers with his Grandpa. As a 4 year member of the Trach High Bulldog Football Team, playing football was a major part of Brock’s high school life. Known as one of the “smaller” players he played BIG as a Linebacker and Fullback. Although he was small it wasn’t unusual to see him tackling the biggest players or carrying a host of players for the first down and into the end zone for a touchdown for the Bulldogs. Brock was awarded Scholar Athlete as well as being a team captain every season.

Upon Brock’s graduation from Tracy High in May 2011 he began to focus on his love for dirt bikes. With his mom at his side he began to race competitively. While it took many years for most to reach the podium during his first season of racing Brock won the AMP Winter Series Championship. Brock went on to race with his friends and managed through his injuries to stay on the podium when he did race. Most recently Brock raced the FLY Armature Nationals at Hangtown where he finally got his first HOLE SHOT Award for leading the race. He placed 2nd overall in the Nationals.

Brock was a very wise young man beyond his years. Smart, charming and a beautiful smile that lit the world with just a flash, we would all melt. Brock was one that always wanted to spread his compassion and huge heart to all young or old on the track or out in public. He took the time to make sure his family and friends were always having a good time and “living their best life”.
Brock was met in heaven by his grandparents Joel “Papa Joe” and Joyce Bell “Grandma Bell”, grandmother Beverly Soares, great grandmothers Belle Soares “Gram” and Jean Pierce “Granny” grandparents Violet (Dupree) and Edward Brittian and great grandparents Leonard and Beulah Bell.
Brock is survived by his parents Jerry and Sheila and brother Jason Soares, grandfather Jerry Soares and Candy. Aunts and uncles “Aunite” Laurie Bell, uncle Bengie and Regina Bell, aunt Kelli and Tracy Mcelhiney, aunt Kristie (Soares)and Rick Mortazavi , Erika (Soares) and Danny Alegre and many cousins and friends.

Brock’s spirit will continue to RIDE ON and will forever be in our hearts and on our shoulders.
