Carolin Ruth Bean

Carolin Bean went to the Lord after, a long illness, on February 28, 2021 at the age of 73. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Steinkamp, and Stepfather Clarence Steinkamp. She is survived by her son, Jeff Bean, and wife Kristy, and grandchildren Kyle and wife Ashley, Brandon and Katelin.
Carolin was raised in Tracy, California and was a 1966 graduate of Tracy High School. During High School, she was a strong presence and outstanding student, the favorite of many teachers. She remained actively involved in school events by serving on the Reunion Organizing Committee. Carolin never met a stranger and has countless friends, many from school, which have remained close for all these years. She was a solid rock to many, a confidant, uplifting, always positive, best friend. She had a gift for making everything and everyone feel special. Even in the most challenging times of her life, her humanity, kindness, and stubbornness were a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

After graduation she was a bookkeeper for many businesses in Tracy until her accounting skills led her to the San Joaquin County Hospital where she was employed and retired after almost twenty years. Living in Lathrop during the hospital years, she moved back into the family home in Tracy upon retirement.

Carolin pursued her dream of becoming a mother and she always said her son was her “greatest accomplishment”. She was most proud of his accomplishments and beautiful family. Her grandchildren were her treasures as well. She cherished every minute spent with her family. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her unsinkable sense of humor and laugh will be sorely missed by all.

Carolin always said when she entered heaven, she would be light as a feather and dancing with her mom and beloved aunts, Irene, Dolly, Marie and her cousin Trisha. We know she is doing that now!
