Charlene Theresa Weinger

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, on July 19th, Charlene lost her 2-year battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her family she loved dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; her 2 brothers, Skip and Tom Delsarto; her 3 children, Gina (Rob) Davis and Charlie (Monica) and Rob (Wendy) Cardinale; as well as her 4 stepchildren, Vince (Lena), Danny (Arline), Karen Deyoe (Larry) and Susan Weinger (Christine). She was also a wonderful and caring grandmother to her 9 beautiful grandchildren, Hayley, Peyton and Ali Davis; Lindsey, Alyssa and Charles Cardinale; as well as Evan, Cole and Amanda Weinger. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Lorraine Delsarto.
Charlene had the pleasure of being a bus driver for the Jefferson School District for 9 years before she retired. The joy of driving was always present and Charlene would always tell us her favorite memories from those days.
Bill and Charlene loved to travel. They ventured all over the world, taking cruises and trains, enjoying one another’s company for 47 years. She even made it to her lifelong goal of visiting Italy as her and Bill’s last trip.
Loved by all, taken too soon. Charlene was an incredibly strong, caring, gracious and beautiful woman who lit up a room and put a smile on everyone’s face. Blessed and beloved by all, she is deeply missed but in our hearts forever.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, is honored to serve the Weinger family. Due to COVID-19, services are being postponed.
