Chris B. Chaparro Sr.
Chris B. Chaparro Sr. (75) passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 27, 2019 following a courageous fight due to an auto accident. Chris was born on July 25, 1944 in Rocky Ford, Colorado, the second youngest son to Jesus and Cesaria Chaparro. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister, with one brother Manuel Chaparro (Delores) surviving. He served in the army and was honorably discharged in 1962. He met and married his sweetheart Mabel Trujillo Chaparro in 1963 and they had 4 children Geneva (deceased), Esperanza Chaparro, Chris Chaparro Jr. (Rocki) and Paul Chaparro.
Chris worked for 10 years at the Westside Market and 30 years at the Tracy Defense Depot. While working, he enjoyed attending courses at the UOP and practicing the martial art, Escrima. Chris was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a devout Catholic. He enjoyed people and had many friends because of his friendly outgoing personality. He was well liked at his part-time job at Safeway and Macy’s because he worked hard and took his job seriously, ensuring the employees were safe. He loved fishing, camping, dancing, traveling and being outdoors. His biggest joy was spending time with his 11 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. Chris will be missed by his one surviving Aunt Ruby Gonzalez, his Brother & Sister in-laws, many Nieces & Nephews, Cousins, Friends and Family. All who loved him dearly, with many who have traveled far from out of state to bid farewell.
