Daniel Paul Schwertfeger passed away on July 16, 2019, in Tracy, CA, at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife: Karmin Schwertfeger. His children: Stephen Leach (Cori) of Stockton, CA., Kyle Jacobsen (Tamara) of Busan, South Korea, Nicol Rasmussen of Vancouver, WA., Chrissy Schwertfeger and Travis Schwertfeger. His father: Chris Schwertfeger (Karen) of Alameda, CA. His siblings: Matthew Schwertfeger (Andrea) of Ripon, CA., Shannon Schwertfeger of San Jose, CA. His grandsons: Elias Leach and Kamden Jacobsen. His granddaughters: Kamea Jacobsen, Kayden Leach and Reagan Leach.
Daniel graduated from Prospect High School in San Jose, CA in 1980. He served for San Jose Police Department for over a decade before becoming the President of Lazestar Incorporated until his passing.
Daniel also leaves behind numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceaded in death: Mother, Susan Kathleen Anson and son Evan Jacobsen
A forever member of the Raider Nation and a lifelong fan of the San Jose Sharks, Dan was known for his fierce love and loyalty. He was a man whose passion for his country was uncompromising with a special place in his heart for the military and law enforcement. He had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. Daniel was a Papa Bear to many, and a Gentle Giant to all.
Visitation/viewing will be held at Fry Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M followed by a Celebration of Life. Oakland Raiders and San Jose Sharks apparel welcome.
