Darline Lavera McLeod

Darline McLeod, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born on August 19, 1931 in Rodney, Iowa, moved to Tracy when she was three, attended Central Elementary School, and graduated from Tracy High School in 1949. She married Jim Mcleod in July 1954 and they were together until his passing in January 2021. She was a farmer’s wife that helped with their apricot harvest over the years, was active in the Jefferson Elementary School Mother’s club organizing the chicken dinner at the annual Halloween Carnival. She also volunteered for many years to help at the polling booths during elections and volunteered at the Tracy Historical Society. Darline and Jim enjoyed traveling and visited Japan, China, Scotland, England, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland amongst other U.S. destinations.
She is survived by her daughter Roxanne (Todd) Felver, sister Delores Sullivan, daughter-in-law Dawn McLeod and six grandchildren: Gregory Felver, Geoffory (Nicole) Felver, Meghan McLeod, Stephan (Breanna) McLeod, James McLeod, and Taylor McLeod. She was preceded in death by her husband James of 66 years, two sons Ronald and Roger McLeod, parents Bill and Margie Huffman, and brother Bill Brunner.
Viewing will be available on Friday April 16 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at Fry Memorial Chapel, followed by graveside services at 1:30 pm at Tracy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
