David Anthony Serrano Jr.

David Anthony Serrano Jr., 40 of Tracy passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Monday, June 21, 1982 to JoAnn M. & David A. Serrano.

Growing up in Hawaii, David attended Kaala Elementary School, Wahiawa Middle School and graduated from Leilehua High School. After graduating and moving to California, David enrolled into college at the Treasure Island Culinary School in San Francisco, CA.

A Chef for over 20 years, David loved cooking. During his career, he worked at various places Golden Corral Famous Dave’s, Lea’s Bar and Applebee’s.

A devout Kansas City Chiefs fan. David cherished his time spent with his wife & children. He loved his family dearly and looked forward to their visits and gatherings.

David leaves behind the love of his life, Petra “Lucy” Lucina Sierra, their children David A. Serrano III and daughter Evelyn D. Serrano; mother JoAnn M. Serrano; Siblings Raymond Torres, AnaMaria Serrano, Gabriela Serrano and John Raymond Serrano. Along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous extended family and Friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, David A. Serrano Sr.

Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy is honored to serve the family. A Rosary/Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 6:00 p.m., with visiting hours from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Catholic Prayer Service will follow on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., chapel doors will open at 9:00 a.m. for final goodbyes. David will be laid to rest privately at Valpico Memorial Cemetery.
