Deandre Givens

DeAndre Givens was born on June 15, 1986, in Oakland, California to his loving parents Gwendolyn Givens (Gardner) and the Late James Thurston Givens, Jr. He was the third of four siblings, James Thurston, III, Beverly LaTreece, Danielle Nicole Givens to this Union and later another sister Tarron Givens. He received his education in Oakland, Livermore, CA and relocated to Tracy, CA to continue his higher education. He worked various warehouse jobs in Tracy and started as a Lineman with Delta Telcom, which he enjoyed and was proud to have a new career.
He met and married Erin Hartley and to this union they had three beautiful daughters, Jasmine, Jada and Janiyah. DeAndre’s girls were his pride and joy and truly the Apple of His Eye. His Girls were his everything and he always said God Blessed him to be their Dad and number one SPOILER. He later met his companion Brandi Haley who adored him and lovingly cherishes his children.
He confessed Christ at an early age and was Baptized uniting with the Praises of Zion M.B.C under the leadership of Dr. E. N. Crawford, Pastor. He served in the Youth and Usher Ministry. He loved to study the Word by putting pen to pad and often had group Bible Study.
He was affectionately known as “Dre or Dre Cash” and was a joy to be around. He loved to make you laugh and showed nothing but love to all who knew him. He would make you feel like you were the most important person to lift your spirits and see a brighter side. He was an avid fisherman and would always tell you about the BIG one that got away. Dre loved to cook, he was the “Master Chef” very creative and would always put his twist on it. Let’s not forget his Grilling Skills, “You Can’t Touch That”. Family was his focus and he wanted nothing less than being there for anyone in need, we may squabble but when it comes to family he said “I’m There”. He loved making music and spent time laying tracks with one of his brother-friends LaRoyce Dellafosse. In one of His videos he said “Keep Your Head Up, He may not come when you want Him to but He’s always on time, God Is Good”.
