Diane May Ferguson of Tracy, California sadly passed away December 30, 2021 after a brief illness.
She was born May 22, 1945 in Fresno California to Bruce and Doris Manson. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Patrick Ferguson, as well as their son Kyle Ferguson and her grandchildren Kenna and Jaeden; her sister Carol Eidsness; nephews Eric Eidsness and Michael Eidsness, his wife Leslie Eidsness and their children and many beloved cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Bruce and Doris Manson of Fresno.
Diane was a proud graduate of Fresno High School, class of 1963. Later, she and Patrick met in Santa Cruz while visiting a mutual friend. They married shortly after and three years later become parents to their only child, Kyle. Diane loved being a mother, wife, and homemaker. She had many hobbies but her true passion was arts and crafts. Diane also did charitable work with the Wishing Well Foundation for which she produced a beautiful cookbook.
Diane and Patrick enjoyed traveling together. Some of their favorite excursions included a trip to China, several Alaskan cruises, and many adventures to Colorado. But more than anything Diane loved the Pacific Ocean.
She spent many summers with her family on the coast in Capitola, where she enjoyed the sights, collecting seashells, and participating in sand castle building contests.
Diane loved all holidays, however, Christmas was her favorite. She decorated their family home exquisitely, even one year winning a Tracy home holiday decoration contest.
Diane’s family would like to thank the wonderful ICU and nursing staff at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital and Dr. Gurinder Grewal.
Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Diane’s memory to the Animal Rescue of Tracy, 3200 North Naglee Road, Tracy, CA 95304.
