Dorey Brown Weiss

Dorey Brown Weiss passed from this life on January 16, 2019 at her home in Tracy, California. A beloved spouse, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Dorey was born December 27, 1966 in Mt. View, California. She spent much of her life in service to others, the last 17 years as a special education teacher at Bohn and Freiler Elementary Schools. Dorey’s students and colleagues will remember her for her endless commitment and caring, as well a sense of humor she inherited from her father.
Wherever she lived – growing up in Los Altos, attending college in Washington State, or raising her children in Tracy – Dorey brought people together through her energy, generosity, and faith. More than anything, Dorey loved her family, taking great joy in exploring, with her husband and daughters, the mountains, lakes, and beaches of the state where she lived.
   Dorey is survived by her husband, Scott, and her daughters, Kathleen, Carrie, and Cynthia. A celebration of Dorey Weiss’s life is planned for Saturday, January 26, at 1 p.m. at Grace Church, 1330 N. Tracy Blvd., Tracy, CA 95376.
