April 10, 1930 ~ June 15, 2019 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Tribute

Edward Perry SR passed away Saturday, June 15 at 11:33 PM at home. He was surrounded by his family with much love and care his wife Gerry, daughter Sandy, son Eddie JR, Sandy‘s husband Jim grandchildren Scott and Rebecca great grandsons Oliver and Aydan Ed & Gerry lived in their home 20 years to the day. He loved his mini farm. Loved caring for his family Orchard. In better days his large vegetable garden he got so much joy giving away fruit and veggies. And kept busy on weed attack.
He started each morning at Four Corners greeting people neat times and fun stories he would come home with.
Edward was born in Niles California to Herman and Antoinnette Perry on April 10, 1930. Ed worked hard as a boy until he was inducted into the US Army, April 1951. Trained at Fort Ord California, then received orders
to the Korea War leaving his parents, six siblings and fiancé Gerry behind.
A letter was sent to him each day with many pictures to help him get through a very difficult time.
April 1953 Ed returned home and on July 5, 1953, Ed and Gerry were married.
Ed worked very hard at US Pipe and Foundry till 1963 as “A Milright”, then into a bottom dump trucking business for 11 years. Enough with that he decided driving for someone else was less stressful, he retired in 1998.
Ed and Gerry built their present home in Tracy where he was active with the VFW, ICF, Elks, PFSA, helped Gerry with her Shaklee business and for over 50 years enjoyed RVing. It was difficult to give up their 36 foot Beaver Motorhome.
Ed and Gerry traveled 14 countries most of Canada and the 50 States. They made 4 cruises and loved to watch the travel channels knowing they got to go there.
His grandchildren brought him such joy. He loved visits from their 11 godchildren and traveling to San Diego and Wisconsin to see their children.
And lived to see the space that was the RV port built into a “Casita” for Sandy and Jim and having Eddie JR
living in his own home making a family compound. It made it more peaceful for him to go home to the Lord leaving Gerry surrounded by their family.
He will be dearly missed!
