Eric Joseph Almason

Eric Almason, age 58, loving father of Dillon and adoring husband to Raquel Almason, passed away on January 24, 2022, he was a victim of a tragic homicide. Eric was born in 1963, Oakland, CA, and grew up in Hayward. He met his wife Raquel in 1976, while in Elementary school; they fell in love and married in 1990. Eric and Raquel moved to Tracy, along with their newborn son, Dillon J. Almason in 1993.
Eric was a Sheet Metal worker, proud member of Union Local 104 for 33 years. He retired in 2019, at which time he was able to dedicate his time to his passion, taking care of his ranch and riding his horses. Eric loved spending time at his ranch, a place that all family and friends new they could always find him and would stop by for a visit and or when a word of advised was needed. He was well known in the community by all age groups, he had a charming personality and was a great mentor to many high school kids, he would put them to work at the ranch, and would teach them about horses. When you say Eric, the first thing that comes to mind is a devoted husband, father, friend, uncle, brother in law, in another words, a wonderful loving Christian man.

We know that we can’t have you back but we’re happy knowing that GOD needed an angel. Till we meet again!!!!!

A Memorial Mass will be held in his honor at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
