Erlinda (Len) Caguioa Abe born September 22, 1949 passed away peacefully at the age of 71 in her home on January 17, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Barry Abe; her children and their spouses: Rey and Benjamas Gervacio, Maria Caguioa, Richard and Marjorie Robinson, Randall and Gena Parker, Joseph and Ivie Parker; Her grandchildren: Steven and Marilen Caguioa, Reilani, Aiko and Noriko Gervacio, Jessika Len, Joseph Jr, Dyana, Jaynee, Anjelina, Hazel and Noah Parker; and great-grandchild Izayah Parker.
Though much of her life was in America, her beginnings were in the Philippines where her love of music began. While she sang and performed for large crowds at a young age, her talent continued to grow when she moved to California. As a beautiful singer, her talent was used not only to provide for her children but to give praise to God as she became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Despite many opportunities to further her singing career, she always declined them because her priority was putting time with her family first. She was always proud of every accomplishment her children or grandchildren made, motivating them to do their best. Throughout her years, Len loved camping, taking care of her physical fitness, doing crossword puzzles, snack time with her husband, and being close to her family at home. Her loving personality drew in so many people who eventually became lifelong friends. We will miss her sweet hugs and soft voice when she gave us encouragement. Her true love was serving and offering praise to her God, Jehovah the best that she could. She had faith in a beautiful hope where those who have passed away will live once again forever in a perfect paradise earth. (Revelation 21:3-4) She never said goodbye, she always said “Bye, for now”. And we look forward to seeing you again in paradise, Len.
