Evelyn M Sousa

It is with deep sadness and much love we mourn the passing of our beloved Evelyn Mary Sousa of Tracy, CA. She passed away at the age of 90. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years Agostinho “Augie” Sousa.
She is also preceded in death by her parents Antonio & Madeline Avila along with her sisters and brothers, Mary Custodio of Tracy, Julia Scoto of Tracy, Ida Garcia of Tracy, Tony Avila of Tracy, Manuel Avila of Modesto, Joe Avila of Tracy, Lucille Olson of San Leandro and Johnny Avila of Michigan.
Evelyn worked and retired from the Tracy Quick Freeze after many years. Evelyn’s biggest joy was her family and hosting and attending family and friend’s gatherings. She was long time member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and was a member of the Tracy IPFES Portuguese Federation.
She is survived by her sister Madeline Cambra of Oakdale, Ca and brother Edward “Eddie” Avila of Tracy, CA. She was the godmother of Shirley Pikula of Hammondsport, NY, Angela Roy of Salida, CA and Isabel Harden, Stockton, CA.
Evelyn leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews who loved her very much. She will lovingly be remembered by all family and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions the funeral will be private for family members only. Services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020.
