It is with great sadness that the family of Evo Joseph Coelho announces his passing from heart and kidney failure, complications of diabetes, on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Evo, 71, was born on April 13, 1947, in Tracy to the late Evo Gonsalves Coelho and Betty Catherine Coelho.
Evo attended Banta Elementary School and Tracy High School. In 1969, he graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in business administration and a minor in mathematics. For several years after college, he taught mathematics at junior high schools in Los Angeles. In his mid-thirties, he began to split his time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where he made his living playing poker.
