Felicia Kim (Somera) Cherry

Our beloved mother Felicia K. Somera entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Modesto Ca. Her devotion to her family and her unwavering faith in God gave her the strength to fight the good fight and finish the race. (2 Timothy 4:7) She is survived by her loving boys, Timmy and Andy Lopez. Her precious granddaughter Gianna her daughter in law Angela, as well as her brother's George and Michael Somera. Including numerous family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Julian & Mildred Somera. Her brother Paul and sister Barbara. Felicia was born in Tracy California. She graduated from East Union High School and continued her education at the University of Phoenix. For over 20 years she has been a human resources recruiter as well as a leader in her community serving as a city council member in Lathrop for many years.

Felicia was a deeply spiritual women of God. She was actively involved in her church Thrive in Lathrop, serving and leading in many ways. She was also very involved with her Native American culture. She will always be remembered for her inner beauty, kindness, love, grace and patience she showed on a daily basis. For those of us that knew her our loss will be great. She will always be in our hearts and never be forgotten.

Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy is handling all funeral arrangements. Services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. follow by a Celebration of her life at 12 noon. She will be laid to rest immediately following at Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 East Schulte Road, Tracy.
