Gerald Wayne Hankins (Jug), passed away on Friday July 28, 2017 in Tracy, CA. Gerald was born in Dallas, TX on November 3, 1951 to Henry Hankins and Mattie AnnaBelle McKinney.
Gerald worked as a maintenance man at the San Joaquin River Club where he loved his job, the community, friends, and church family. He was honored to have been an usher and a board member at Lakeside Chapel.
Gerald enjoyed his daily crossword puzzles, visiting with family and friends, and spending time with his wife Reva (Maye) Spangler Hankins.
Gerald is survived by sisters Nova Walker, Sarah Reynolds, Shirley Hankins and spouse Frankie Freeman, wife Reva Spangler-Hankins, daughter and spouse Cathy and Andy Martinez, son Allen Hankins, step son and spouse Tom and Diane Spangler, step daughters Ronnie Spangler, Nancy Spangler, Brenda and spouse Dan Clark, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister JuliaAnn Calhoun, brothers Henry Hankins and Lewallen (Luke) Hankins.
Visitation will be held at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy, on Friday, August 4, 2017, beginning at 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Memorial Services will be held at San Joaquin River Club, 30000 Kasson Rd., Tracy, on Saturday, August 5, 2017, beginning at 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
