Helen Joy Amick

Helen Joy Amick, of Manteca, California, passed away at age 90 on October 9, 2021 in Stockton, California.
Helen was born, February 13, 1931, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to William Franklin Hutson and Bertha Emeline Hutson. She had one brother, Clyde Hutson who preceded her in death. She survived the great depression moving to California from Oklahoma when she was ten years old. She married Clifford Stanley Amick in Reno, Nevada in1958 and shared her life with him for 63 years. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and crochet and she used her skills to bring joy to the lives of others. She was a member of and was actively involved with the Church of Christ for 61 years.
She is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Clifford S. Amick, her children, Sheila McGregor of Susanville, California, Janice Schmidt of Susanville, California, Frank Amick (Karen) of Manteca California, Carol Wyant (Jay) of Byron, California, and Holly Miller of Tracy, California. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Fry Memorial Chapel in Tracy, California, on Thursday, October 21st, with a viewing from10:00am – 12:30 pm with services at 12:30 pm. A private gathering for the immediate family will follow after the service.
