Tribute

Inger Crawford Johnson passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack in Tracy, California September 7, 2020 just two days after her 53rd birthday.

Inger was born in New London, Connecticut on September 5, 1967 the daughter of Denis & Berit Crawford. Denis was in the U.S. Navy as an instructor at the Navy Submarine School in New London, Connecticut. Inger lived in the Gales Ferry, Connecticut until December of 1970 when she moved to Dallas, Texas. After four years in Dallas, Denis and Berit were divorced and Inger and her brothers and sisters moved to Orebro, Sweden where she would spend most of her next thirty years. In 1984 she went to Caracas, Venezuela to live with her father and stepmother, Carol Crawford. She attended the American school in Caracas and traveled extensively in Venezuela and surrounding countries for a year. Inger used to roller skare around our apartment in Caracas and leave Inger-prints on the white walls. After returning to Orebro in 1985, Inget worked as a dessert chef in Orebro. She had two sons Anthon in 1990 and Elias in 1995. In 1997 she met the love of her life Bill Johnson and moved to Santa Clara, California where Bill was employed by Honeywell. Inger and Bill were married on board our sailboat Sea Deuced in Long Beach harbor in 1998. When Annika and Daniel were born in 1998 and 2000, the family moved to Tracy, California where Inger lived until her death.

Inger is survived by her husband Bill Johnson, sons Anthon, Elias, and Daniel, daughter Annika, brothers Michael and David Crawford, sister Annika Brauer, half sister Elin, half-brother Kenneth, Mother Berit Elgstrom, and father Denis Crawford.

We will miss our beautiful sweet, loving Inger.

I believe in Angels, something good in everything I see,
I believe in Angels, when I know the time is right for me,
I’ll cross the stream – I have a dream,
I’ll cross the stream – I have a dream.
