Jacqueline C. Murison passed away peacefully at the age of 95. She was born April 25, 1927 in Stockton, California to the late Carrie and Bill Ventre I, and was younger sister to the late Bill Ventre II.
Fondly known to her friends as Jaye, but to her Family she was Granny. Jaye attended Lincoln High School in San Jose and San Jose State College. She was married once having three children: Gail, Mike and Tom. Jaye lived in the same house on Grace Ave in San Jose since 1955. She worked and retired from San Jose City College and then worked at Sherman Oaks Elementary School well into her 80’s where she was also known as Granny.
Besides her involvement with her family Jaye was a long time member of the San Jose Woman’s Club, she loved the opera, was passionate about volunteering wherever help was needed and attended Mass regularly at St. Christophers Catholic Church in San Jose.
Jaye is survived by daughter Gail Battaglia (Jim Battaglia), son Mike Murison, 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Tom Murison.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy is honored to serve the family. Family will hold a private Celebration of life.
