James Esdras DeLeon

James Esdras De Leon was born to Esdras DeLeon and Eloisa Hernandez on August 11, 1960 in French Camp, California and passed away on June 2, 2020. Jim grew up in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School. He earned his bachelor and masters degrees from the University of California, San Francisco in computer science and was employed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for more than 30 years.
He was proud of his work and his education. Jim enjoyed pouring his knowledge of finances into young people. He would share with any young person the importance of financially preparing for their future and how being educated would help their dreams become a reality. He enjoyed his toys which included his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and his convertible Mercedes Benz “Amy.” Most of all, Jim loved God, his family and his friends. He found strength in his faith and love for God. Jim enjoyed family gatherings, a good meal together and time spent with family. When first meeting Jim he would appear reserved but once you got to know him he became a sincere and faithful friend.
Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Eloisa and brother, Anthony. He is survived by his father Esdras De Leon, sister Linda Salazar, sister Norma Flores, brother Steve De Leon.
Bishop Steve Perea will officiate gravesite services at the Tracy Public Cemetery in Tracy on Thursday, June 11th at 10:00 a.m.
