John Allen Rodarte was born May 27th, 1971 in Tracy, California and returned home July 20, 2020 to his Heavenly Father.
John was preceded in in death by his beloved grandparents, Domingo and Presciliana Rodarte of Tracy. He is survived by his three children, Domingo Rodarte, Laurencia Rodarte and Sophia Rodarte. His parents, Robert Rodarte and Sandy Avakian, stepparents Cheryl Williams and Dennis Avakian, sister Michelle Munoz, his fiancé Whitney N Duarte and her son Liam Duarte.
John attended Clover middle school, Tracy High, and graduated from Duncan Russell in 1989. He gained his HVAC licensing at Delta College, a career that concluded with the Stockton Unified School District.
John spent many years living in South Side Tracy with his ex wife Silvia raising their kids on 1st street as well as 4th and A streets, which was mentioned in his lyrics. John loved music and during this time he co founded Project Affiliated, where he spent his time writing, rapping, producing and collaborating. John was a pioneer of the Northern California Chicano rap game in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
He was known by many names to his friends and fans, some of them include DJ MT, The Mexican Terrorist, DJ Massive Trauma, the Brown Buffalo, Razorback, the South Side lyricist and Uncle Buck. To his dozens of cousins, aunts and uncles he will always be simply John Darte.
His inappropriate and unbridled humor will be missed by all who loved him. We love you and you will never be forgotten.
In light of Covid 19 restrictions there will be a drive through memorial to celebrate John's life August 7th 4:30-7:30 at 16 W 2nd street in Tracy , CA followed by a candlelight remembrance at Mac Donald Park. Please wear a mask and maintain appropriate distances.
