Jomer Campana Mascardo, “Jonjon”, “Jomez”, “Kahon” and “Box” passed away peacefully due to cancer on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the age of 48.
If you knew Jomer then you knew he was committed to the service of others and as such, a proud member of the Teamsters Local Union 896. Jomer participated in the Armijo High ROTC program during the entirety of his 4 years at high school. This is where his sense of duty and community blossomed and prepared Jomer to become such a strong advocate and loyal member of the Teamsters Local Union 896. He was part of this amazing brotherhood/sisterhood for 25 years and was recently acknowledged for his contributions during this time.
To his friends and family, he was also known as a jokester and a collector of vehicles (also known as the “Wolf Pack”). He was a brother, a son, an uncle, a cousin, a nephew and a friend that brought you to tears with laughter and could make you smile just by his entrance into a room. You knew the good times were coming when Jomer arrived. He was a foodie and always game if you wanted to feast at a new restaurant.
Jomer meant more to his family and friends than he ever understood. Best expressed and in the simplest terms, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”- Winnie the Pooh.
Jomer is survived by his immediate family: Josephine (mother), Numer (father), Joseph (older brother), Yoanka (sister-in-law), Nicholas (nephew), Claudia (niece), Mary Janice (younger sister) and Rocky, Daisy and Penny (pets).
