Joseph Henry Machado

Joseph Henry Machado passed away at home on April 24, 2022. Joseph was born on July 28, 1947 in Sao Bras Terceira, Azores to his parents Luis de Sousa Machado and Armanda Vieira da Costa.

He first came to the United States in 1949 and grew up in Newark, CA. He started his employment with Tri-Valley Growers in Fremont where he worked for 36 years, until his retirement. During his tenure, Joseph joined the Air Force, in 1967, where he served as an airplane mechanic.

Joseph leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Ivone A. Machado. He was a loving dad to his sons Joseph H. Machado, Jr. (Brandy), Louis B. Machado (Melissa) and his daughter Rosemary Machado. He was a devoted grandfather to his 7 wonderful grandchildren, who he loved dearly.

Fry Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Machado Family. Visitation will be held at the Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. followed by the Rosary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Church at 163 West Eaton Avenue, Tracy. He will be laid to rest at the Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 East Schulte Road, Tracy, CA.
