January 7, 1939 ~ January 9, 2023 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Josephine Anastasia (Vasquez) Granados was born in Denver Colorado to Bertha and Ciriaco Vasquez on January 7, 1939.  Shortly after she was born, the family moved to Tracy, California, where they made their home and Josie grew up.

Josie graduated from Tracy High School and then went on to work at the Tracy Defense Depot for over 27 years as a Packer.  She was an active member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Josephine was a loving mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  Her kindness and honesty will be missed by everyone she knew.

Josie was a loving mother and would do anything for family.  Her children would like you to know that she was the best mom and grandma ever.  She never missed a school or sporting event of her children.  Her family always knew how loved they were by her.  Her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, adored her and were lucky enough to be watched by her when they were little.

Her hobbies included spending time with her family.  She was a loving and doting mother and grandmother, a devoted daughter and loving sister and aunt.  She enjoyed watching Raiders football games and Warriors basketball games with her son and daughter.  Josie loved shopping, attending her grandchildren’s events, playing poker with family and listening to oldies and Mexican music, especially Vicente Fernandez.  She also enjoyed drinking coffee, sweets and eating out at Moo Moo’s and Mi Ranchito.

She is survived by her children: son, Dominic J. Granados, and daughter, Marcella A. Granados-Galindo.  Three grandchildren, Jasmine A. Granados, Dominic M. Granados and Izabella A. M. Galindo.

Josephine was preceded in death by her Mother, Bertha L. Vasquez and sister, Ramona G. Garcia.
