Juan A. Valdez

Juan A. Valdez, 89, of Tracy passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2018. He was born on June 6, 1929 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Juan is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Rosalia Valdez. His children, Maria VanBuskirk of Fresno, California, Ofelia Lopez, Sean Valdez, and Juan S. Valdez, all of Tracy, California, also survive him. Mr. & Mrs. Valdez were blessed with their grandchildren, Andrea Ferguson, Daniel VanBuskirk, and Juan Lopez Jr. Juan also retired from Southern Pacific Railroad in Tracy, California after 21 years. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30 at 5 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 31 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 E. Eaton Ave. Burial will follow at the Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road.
