Kim Elizabeth Johnson

December 1, 1955 ~ January 10, 2018 (age 62) 62 Years Old
Kim Elizabeth (Clark) Johnson of Tracy, CA passed away suddenly on January 10, 2018.
Affectionately known as “Kimmie” or “Mimi”, she was born December 1, 1955 in Livermore, CA to Fred and Patricia (Brinton) Clark. She spent her childhood in Livermore, graduating from Livermore High School in 1973.

Kim grew up spending family time on the Delta enjoying her love of the water, and becoming an avid water skier with sister Kerri, brother Kevin and cousin Karen. In addition, her second fondest childhood memories were trips to Disneyland with her dad Fred and step-mom Bona, which she often reminisced about with family and friends.

Kim met the love of her life, Al Johnson, while on a houseboat trip to Lake Shasta in 1980. The soulmates married in 1981, and were deeply and passionately in love with each other until Kim left us too soon. They had one daughter, Caitlin, born in June 1986.

Kim spent 30 years working as a medical secretary for Dr. McIvor. Upon retiring from work and skiing due to multiple back surgeries, she took up hobbies making jewelry and scented candles, which received high praises from family and friends whom she shared them with. Other interests included collecting gemstones, geodes, crystals and other precious and rare minerals for display in her home.

She loved animals, especially dogs. Her husband Al would often tease her about hoping to be reincarnated as one of her dogs since she spoiled them so much! Her beloved Puggle Annie is lost without her.

Kim is survived by husband Al, daughter Caitlin, father Fred (wife Bona), sister Kerri (Clark) Sommars (husband Joe), brother Kevin Clark, cousin Karen (Brinton) Heisley (husband Scott), in-laws Andy Johnson and Signe Johnson, multiple nieces and nephews, a large extended family and lifelong friends Mary (Gregory) DeWolf, Pam (Goots) Franklin and Vicky (Authier) Charbonneau.
She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Kienholtz and mother-in-law Frances Johnson.
The Johnson Family has entrusted Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy to care for Kim’s final arrangements. She will be laid to rest privately at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch, CA. An online guest book is available at www.frymemorialchapel.com for condolences and special messages to the family.
