Lenin Enrique Priego Zurita

July 10, 1997 ~ July 30, 2017 (age 20) 20 Years Old

On Sunday, July 30, 2017, in Arlington, Virginia, we lost our son Lenin Enrique Priego Zurita, age 20, to natural causes. He was born July 10, 1997, in Jalapa, Tabasco, Mexico.
Lenin was the epitome of duty, honor and service to this country as a proud Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed at The Pentagon, Washington D.C., and served his country from 2015 to 2017.
Lenin was a man of character, compassion and loyalty, beloved by family, friends and coworkers alike. Lenin was a fierce competitor in sports, primarily football (he was a San Francisco 49ers fan). He also competed in wrestling and soccer. He was a focused and dedicated student, a truly well-rounded individual, graduating with a 4.11 GPA from Merrill F. West High School in 2015. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Georgina Green (Zurita Lorat), and stepfather, Ron Green; three stepbrothers and their spouses, Jeff and Erin Green, Nick and Sara Green, and Adam Green; his maternal grandmother, Yolanda Lora Gonzalez, and paternal grandmother, (Yoqui) Gioconda Soledad Azcuaga Cabrera; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family both here in the US and abroad in his home country of Mexico. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Arianna Maricella Amara Serrano.
Lenin was preceded in death by his father, Lenin Enrique Priego Azcuaga; maternal grandfather, Floricel Zurita Andrade; and paternal grandfather, Lenin Enrique Priego Alfaro.
