A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 29, 2022 for Tracy Native Leonardo Moreno, 86, who died on Saturday, June 18 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Reno, Nevada.
Mr. Moreno, born October 9, 1935, graduated from Tracy High School. He married Erlinda Moreno in June, 1960 and they made their home in Manteca, CA. Leonardo was a laborer and medical caregiver throughout California.
He was passionate for playing golf and spent most of his time at the Antelope Greens Golf Club in Antelope, CA. He created a very dear friendship with Pete and Lisa Ames, managers of the Golf Course. He left his legacy there by caring for the course and building lifetime friendships.
Survivors include his children: David Moreno of Stockton, Angela Guzman of Reno, Nevada, Patricia Hanson and her husband John of Reno, Nevada, Genevieve Gaddy and her husband Steve of Lemon Valley, Nevada, Leonard Moreno and his wife, Librada of Palm Bay, Florida; siblings Peter Moreno of Manteca, Arthur Moreno of Lathrop and Andrew Moreno of Las Vegas Nevada. Nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Moreno was preceded in death by his former wife Erlina Moreno, father Martin Moreno, mother Genevieve Moreno; brothers Albert Moreno, William Moreno, Navidad Moreno; sisters Helen Garcia, Theresa Avalos, Martha Garza, Sally Ramirez, Julia Moreno and Patsy Moreno.
Leonard will be laid to rest at the Tracy Public Cemetery following Mass.
