Maggie Kathryn Burchett

Kathryn Burchett, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Sutter Tracy Hospital following surgery. Kathryn was born in Michigan to Clarence & Lucille Gabbard on December 15, 1943 and was a Tracy resident for 71 years.

Kathryn was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She loved family outings, going shopping and cooking. Kathryn worked for Tracy Unified School district as a bus driver and had a passion for taking her school bus children on fieldtrips. Kathryn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years the late Herbert Burchett. She is also preceded in death her daughter Julie Davies (Jay), son Lemoyne Burchett, step-daughter Dianna Burchett, her parents Clarence & Lucille Gabbard, her sisters Norma Cook and Jackie and her brothers Edward Gabbard and Jerry Gabbard. Kathryn is survived by her daughter Janie Hale (Ron) of Tracy, CA; stepchildren, John Burchett (Rose) of Pennsylvania, Punkin Burchett (Jackie) of Oroville, CA and Sam Burchett (Judy) of Oregon; sisters Marilyn Garris of Tracy, CA and Mary Pickering of Valley Springs, CA, brothers Lemoyne Gabbard of Salida, CA and William Gabbard of Arkansas. Her 15 grandchildren also survive her, Joshua Watkins of Tracy, CA, Travis Hale of Washington, Amber Hale of Tracy, CA, Christopher Dellosantos of Oregon, Naomi Burchett of Oregon and Cody Burchett of Oregon and 7 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Tracy Public Cemetery.
