Hermelinda Perez Sanchez
February 18, 1924 – April 26, 2018
Hermelinda Sanchez, a long- time resident of Tracy, CA, passed away on April 26, 2018 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Hermelinda was 94. Mrs. Sanchez was born in Jalisco, Mexico; she came to Tracy, California in 1960 and lived here her entire life. Hermelinda was happily married to her Felipe Rojas Sanchez of 75 years; they raised nine beautiful children together. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always wanted to spend her quality time with her family she loved all her grandchildren dearly as if they were her own. She was a devout catholic at St. Bernard’s church. Her passions were Christmas celebration with a beautiful nativity display, cooking, crosstitch, canning chili, dancing, listening to music, and watching her novellas. Most people that knew her will remember Hermelinda for her kindness, big heart, and giving ways to anyone in need. She was full of life and had a smile that could light up a room. She was a beautiful person inside and out and touched everyone’s heart who knew her. She will be dearly missed by all her family.
Survivors include her nine children, Jesus Sanchez and his wife Beatriz of Manteca, Felipe Sanchez and his wife Sarah of Tracy, Agustin Sanchez of Mexico, Arturo Sanchez and his wife Betty of Manteca, Socorro Sanchez of Tracy, Robert Sanchez and his wife Julie of Tracy, Hermelinda Sanchez of Tracy, Harold Sanchez and his wife Felicia of Manteca, Martha Arguello and her husband Lance of Tracy; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is one brother, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband Felipe Rojas Sanchez; two grandchildren, Miguel Sanchez and Jaime Sanchez; and one great-grandson Philip Gregory Sanchez.
Visitation for Mrs. Sanchez was held at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave Tracy, CA on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Tracy Public Cemetery.
