Marie Lilyan Dias

Longtime Tracy Resident Marie Lilyan Dias, 85, passed away January 2, 2018 at her home. She was born March 3, 1932 in Stockton to the late Mr. and Mrs. Germano Borba and grew up on the family farm in Tracy.
Marie graduated from Tracy High School with the class of 1950, later graduating from the Maud Cornwell School for Secretaries in Stockton.
While working at Deuel Vocational Institution as a secretary she met her husband Leonard Dias who preceded her in death. Marie then continued to farm as her family had in the past and with her husband managed Dias Farms, Inc. Marie loved golfing and gardening.
Mrs. Dias is survived by her three children Jerry Dias and wife Izabel; Brad Dias and wife Monica, all of Tracy; and daughter Sandy Vehar and husband Glen of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; grandchildren Andrea, Griffen, Cameron, Tiffany, Jessica, Erica and Bradley.
A Prayer Service will be held at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 12:30 pm with visitation beginning at 11:30 am.She will be laid to rest to Tracy at Tracy Public Cemetery immediately following. Reception to follow at the Tracy Elks Lodge on 6400 W. 11th Street in Tracy.
