Marie Rose Traina was born on December 15, 1923 in Santa Clara California to Joseph and Mary Costa. Marie was one of 5 daughters and 5 brothers born to Joseph and Mary. She attended St. Clare Catholic Elementary School and Santa Clara High School.
After meeting at a dance, Marie married Julius Traina on October 12, 1947. They moved to Tracy in 1954 to farm apricots, cherries and walnuts and raise their two sons. She always enjoyed returning to the bay area to attend large Costa and Traina family gatherings. Marie was a member of the Children’s Home Society as well as the Tracy Golf & Country Club where she enjoyed many rounds of golf and a much celebrated hole in one. She also loved to paint and has many of her beautiful paintings throughout her home.
Marie is survived by her sister Rita Ivancovich, brother Richard (Gloria) Costa, sister-in-law Connie Traina, sons Wayne (Nancy) and Keith Traina, nieces and nephews Gary (Linda) and Roger (Diane) Traina, Frank (Jill), Glenn (Marilyn), Tom (Karin), Randy (Cheryl), Scott (Karry) and Jeff (Tiffani) Costa, Shirley Hack, Nick (Debbie) and Craig (Gail) Ivancovich, Tammy (John) Cabri, Joyce (Jerry) Rainbolt and Sharon Costa Sargent, grandsons Zach (Julie) and Josh (Kate) Traina and great-grandchildren Kaliah, Sydney and Ella Traina. She is also survived by many more nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her father Joseph, mother Mary, husband Julius, sisters Violet, Elaine, Delores and adopted sister Velma and brothers Louis, Joseph, Clarence and Edward and many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.

Visitation, Rosary and Vigil will be held on Saturday December 2nd starting at 10:00AM at Fry’s Memorial Chapel, 550 S Central Ave, Tracy CA. The Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m. Entombment services will follow at the Tracy Mausoleum, 8842 W. Schulte Rd. A celebration of life will be held at Casa Grande, 30 W. 11th St. from 2:00-4:00 PM following the entombment service.
