Norma June Shaddle was born on September 11, 1930 in San Leandro, California. She was the youngest daughter of three to Provie and Lawrence Gigli. She is survived by her sister Eleanor of Lincoln, California.
She was a graduate of San Leandro High School and attended Heald’s Business School and worked as a comprometer operator in San Francisco until marrying the love of her life, John.
John and Norma met in Santa Cruz while John was in the US Navy. They courted for 2 years, then married in 1952. They settled in San Leandro and had four children, then to have 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Norma had a wonderful sense of style and design. She opened an antique store in 1986 in San Mateo, California then moved it to Hayward, California in the 1990’s. She was awarded “Business Woman of the Year” in 2006 by the Hayward Chamber of Commerce.
Norma moved to Tracy seven years ago to live with her daughter Patricia Speer and son-in-law, Michael Speer. She was surrounded by love and family until her passing on March 26, 2021. She will be greatly missed for her bright smile, love, laughter and her keen poker skills.
