Oren Aldean Kelley

Oren Aldean “Al” Kelley passed away April 9, 2022. He was born January 27, 1935, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the youngest of seven children. Al graduated from Liberty High School in Brentwood, CA in 1953 and was a resident of Tracy for more than 50 years. He retired from Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in 1994 after 27 years of working as a carpenter.

Al was active as a fastball softball pitcher in Tracy and Livermore leagues for many years. After “retiring” from softball, he was an avid golfer.

Al is survived by his children Steven Kelley, Martin Kelley, Brad Kelley (Susan) of Manteca, and Shannon Barry (Michael) of Fairview, PA, as well as his grandchildren, Tayler, Nolan and Kruse Kelley, Mackenzie Barry, and one great-grandson, Wesley Velasquez.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sally Ann, and his grandson, Keeghan Barry.

He will be sorely missed and forever remembered for his teasing spirit and his amazing hugs.
