Phyllis Joan Luxford

Phyllis J. Luxford, 82, passed away September 10th, 2021 in Stockton, CA. She was born in French Camp, Ca. and grew up in Tracy, Ca. Phyllis had a full life with careers at Lawrence Livermore Lab, Laura Scudders (Tracy Plant) and Retired from San Joaquin County Veterans Department assisting Disabled Veterans, dependents, widows and war orphans in obtaining Federal Monies and was highly respected by her peers and co-workers.

Phyllis was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi and #48, Chapter A Stockton/Lodi Gold Wing Touring Assn.
Family was the most important to her. She loved family BBQ’s and trips with her family. Her favorite hobbies were shopping with the Motto ‘I could give up shopping, but I’m not a Quitter’, going to the Casinos and playing Bunco with her friends. She had many adventures traveling the Country in their RV and finally settling back in Stockton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael A. Luxford and survived by her 3 Children, Ken Lea (Carrie) of Bend, Oregon, Daughter Kathi Vaughn (Scott) of Lodi, CA, Karen Andersen (Mark) of Otis, Oregon, Eleven Grandchildren Stephani, Thomas, Samantha, Rod, Bryson, Amanda, Danny, Bobbi, Aaron, Rebecca and Tim and nine Great-Grandchildren Lexci, Leah, Luke, Henry, Ella, Tristan, Theo, Jaxon, Capri, and sister Darlene Matson. Preceded in death Brother Jack Rego and Irene Rueweler.
Phyllis was loved by many, many people and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of life will be held Monday, September 20, 2021, Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy at 10:00 am. Final Resting Place Tracy Public Cemetery.
