Roland Thomas Woodard

Mr. Roland Thomas Woodard was born in Warren, Arkansas on March 25, 1937 to the late Allen Woodard and Geraldine Calbert.
Roland attended public school in Warren Arkansas, until moving to Tracy, California in the early 50’s where he graduated from Tracy high in 1956.
After graduating high school in 1956, Roland worked a short time with the Railroad before joining the Air Force until he retired after 30 years of service as an Air Craft Machinic.  After retiring from the Air force, Roland went on to work for the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, as a security guard until he once again, retired after 10 years of service.
Roland met and fell in love with a beautiful woman by the name of Percilla Jane Barrows.  Roland and Percilla were married on September 8, 1991 until her passing (two days before him). 
Roland lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures: watching football, playing cards, chatting with friends and family and giving Advice to all who would listen.  A few hours before passing Roland will be remembered as quoting the “Serenity Prayer” and making mention of his age and how good God had been to him.
He leaves to morn his passing - children: Anthony Woodard (Dedra), Geraldine Jeffrey, Mary Santiago, Howard Santiago, Priscilla Santiago, Stephanie Johnson, Denise Smith, O’Keefe Sumlin, Icie Rafael, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
